Dear Parents and Carers,
Our Mission statement begins with:
“In partnership with families, we are committed to educating children who are….”
As we begin week 8 of Term 3, we also begin week 3 of remote learning and it appears this statement is significantly relevant at this time. I must continue to thank you for the commitment and support you are showing your children and our great school. We believe with your partnership we can continue to offer a high level of education to our students.
The focus for the first 2 weeks has been participation and engagement. Our teaching staff are now confident that their students are familiar with the processes and procedures for our remote learning program. Teachers will now begin to implement independent activities that require a deeper level of thinking.
The next few weeks will be a juggling act of providing challenging activities to extend learning while ensuring the activities are achievable in a remote learning setting. If you find the work set is too difficult for your child/ren in this setting, please don’t hesitate to communicate to the teachers through SeeSaw. Any feedback they receive will help in the planning of future lessons and this partnership will ensure your children remain engaged while being challenged at the same time.
Thank you again for your support,
St Mary’s Parish Sacramental Program, 2021

Below is an online Eucharist resource for you to share with your children in place of the Eucharist Information Session.

In line with this from Wednesday students may wear either the school summer or winter uniform, depending on the weather, until the end of Term 3.
Our school counsellor Mrs Emma McRae is working remotely at this time.
This week Emma will be available for Zoom meetings with our students on Wednesday.
The normal process applies if you would like to arrange a meeting for your child with Emma. If your child is new to counselling please complete the booking form which can be found on our website or on the SZApp or as a current client please contact the school office to be included in the booking list for this week.
A final decision will be made on or before Monday 13th September in Week 10.
We were able to start the ICAS testing before lockdown with students completing the Digital Technologies test.
The rest of the tests have now been postphoned until the next testing window which will be from 5th -29th October.
There will be more information regarding this closer to the dates concerned.
