Dear Parents and Carers,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Damian Collins to the position of Acting Assistant Principal of St Mary’s War Memorial in West Wyalong.
Damien will start on Monday the 20th of June and continue for the remainder of the 2022 school year.
Damian has been an educator with the Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn for over 17 years, and for most has been a Teacher at St Mary’s Primary in Young. Damian has also held the positions of Acting Coordinator at Trinity Catholic Primary in Murrumburrah for 2011, and Acting Religious Education Coordinator at St Mary’s Primary in Young for the 2017-2018 and 2021 school years.
We are excited to have Damian join our team and I’m sure the entire St Mary’s community will join me in welcoming him to our great school.
The Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
In the Gospel, Jesus is telling us about the special gift he gives us in the Eucharist. In the Eucharist, the bread and the wine become the Body and Blood of Christ. When we share in the Eucharist, Jesus is present to us, and through our communion we will share eternal life.
Let us pray :
God most holy, you invite us to celebrate the paschal banquet. Hear our prayers that our lives may proclaim your new covenant of love, one with Christ around your table. We ask this in Jesus’ name.
We are excited to welcome parents and carers back into our school and class masses.

Your child will be presented with high-quality, expert-developed questions, allowing them to apply their learning without the need for prior study or revision. Every student will receive a printed certificate and an online result report. Top performers will be eligible for medals and are invited to attend special award ceremonies to have their academic excellence publicly recognised.

Your child's name will be recorded on a donation sticker on the inside book cover.
Purchasing books via Scholastic as part of this fundraiser also generates points that will be used by the class teachers to buy class books.
