Staying Healthy

Our school currently has a student enrolled who has a compromised immune system and is more vulnerable to disease than other students. We also have students enrolled in the school who, for medical reasons, cannot be immunised. Therefore, it is important that you do not send your children to school if they are unwell.
Students with a compromised immune system are especially susceptible to Chicken Pox and contact can have catastrophic results.
If you know of any chicken pox infections within the school families or students who may have had contact with chicken pox elsewhere please let the school know immediately. This will allow us to notify the parents of our most vulnerable students.
Your child should also stay at home if they have any infectious disease, coughs, runny noses, a temperature, diarrhea or other infections. For more information about how long an illness is contagious, contact your GP or visit the NSW Health website at health.nsw.gov.au.
