After a number of weeks of practicing during their recess and lunch hours our school choir attended the Mary Quinane Western Region Choir Festival on Thursday last week. There were 7 schools in attendance and they all performed two songs to a panel of judges.
Our students were neatly presented, handled the pressure well and sung beautifully. The team peaked at the right moment and performed so well they were crowned Western Region choir champions for 2022.
A huge thank you to Mrs Harland who gave up her time to coach the choir.
Well done to everyone.
MacKillop Rugby Union Trials
Jimmy Dean was in Forbes yesterday and today at the MacKillop Rugby Union trials.
It was a freezing day in Forbes making the conditions very challenging for all competitors. Jimmy was part of the Canberra Goulburn team who played teams from Wollongong, Parramatta, Wagga and Sydney with the competition being fierce.
Jimmy had a wonderful day and the experience will put him a good place for next years trials.
A great effort Jimmy!
