A Message from our Principal
Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to Week 9, only 2 weeks to go! Bring on the Easter break!! Whilst we are coming to the end of the term let’s keep up the great work and finish the term off on a good note. There is still plenty of exciting learning to be done.
Yesterday our COGlearn coaches from Queensland visited St Mary’s. These coaches are assigned to each Catholic Education Canberra Goulburn school to provide guidance and support to the direct instruction programs implemented in the schools across the Archdiocese. The coaches spent time in each room assisting teachers in developing their practice and provided each teacher with feedback on how they’re delivering the numerous direct instruction programs at St Mary’s. This is a vital element of the Annual Improvement Plan at St Mary’s as we ensure every child at our school is provided with an excellent education and fabulous opportunity to learn.
Several children have been collected from school by their parents without going through the front office. Please remember that you must sign your child in or out at the front office. Your understanding and co-operation is appreciated.
Another reminder that morning supervision begins at 8:30. As there is no supervision before then please ensure your child does not arrive at school before 8:30. Many children are arriving before morning supervision begins. Thanks for your co-operation.
A reminder to donate to our Easter Raffle organised and run by our Community Council. Donations can be dropped in at anytime between 8:30 and 3:30 at the front office.
Next Thursday will be our final assembly for the term. We will also be presenting each class with our new 'Student of the Term' award. This assembly will be held straight after lunch on the final day.
Remember my door is always open.
